ABP Ireland operates in seven locations across Ireland, including Bandon, Cahir, Clones, Nenagh, Rathkeale, Slaney and Waterford, supplying high‑quality beef to the retail, manufacturing and foodservice sectors in over 70 countries. As part of the wider ABP Food Group, ABP Food Group and its affiliates operate in nine countries and across more than 50 sites throughout Europe.

ABP Ireland is supporting farmers, customers and consumers on the road to net zero through integrated initiatives such as the dedicated research Demonstration Farm and Advantage Beef Programme.

ABP Ireland partners with industry experts to enhance the sustainability of beef production and help farmers reduce their environmental impact by spearheading research on cattle breeding and genetics. Insights gained from this research are shared with ABP’s family farm suppliers by providing advice and support to improve both environmental and economic sustainability.

First established in Ireland in 1954, ABP Food Group and its affiliates have grown to become one of Europe’s leading food processors, operating across nine countries and more than 50 locations throughout Europe. ABP’s beef operations are supported by four complementary divisions, including lamb (Irish Country Meats), renewables (Olleco), pet food (C&D), and proteins.

4: Does ABP provide products other than beef?

ABP Ireland is part of the meat division of ABP Food Group and its affiliates. ABP Food Group consists of four divisions – Meat, Renewables, Pet Food and Proteins. The meat division also includes Lamb, known as Irish Country Meats.

Together, these divisions create a fully integrated circular economy. This unique model minimises waste of by-products from beef processing by utilising them across all the other divisions. This reinforces a vision to secure a more sustainable future for the industry.
